In 2009, Jerry Chan set out on a transformative journey, founding Index Architects with a vision to redefine the way people experience their spaces. His new practice quickly earned a name for inspiring designs that blend functionality with artistry.
A graduate of the National University of Singapore, Jerry is a Registered Architect with the Board of Architects, Singapore. His career, spanning 30 years, began at highly-acclaimed DP Architects, where he was involved in shaping some of Singapore’s iconic landmarks. From concert halls of The Esplanade to halls of learning at Saint Andrew's Village, and from The Central at Clarke Quay to Orchard Central, Jerry’s influence is woven into the fabric of the city’s architectural heritage.
Driven by an unquenchable passion for design, he boldly ventured into the world of entrepreneurship by establishing his own firm. Leaving the comfort and security of a steady paycheck, he plunged into the unpredictable yet exhilarating world of entrepreneurship. His decision was driven by a singular vision: create inspiring buildings that transcend steel and glass, so every space tells a story.
By departing from conventional approaches, Jerry designed homes that are as distinctive as the individuals who live in them. Rather than relying on templates, he engages in deep dialogue with clients, translating their dreams, aspirations and tastes into a unique architectural language, creating spaces that forge lasting memories.

Yet, despite the odds, his resolve remained steadfast. Jerry clung tenaciously to his vision, driven by an unyielding belief in the transformative power of design.
